WHAT IS A TRAINEESHIP?

Traineeships enable 16-18 year olds to gain valuable work experience and work-readiness skills to progress into apprenticeships or jobs.

Completely free and full funded by the government, Traineeships are a combination of work experience and bespoke learning that set you up for an apprenticeship or your next steps. They offer a taste of what it's like to work in a variety of industries, alongside learning key employability skills that help prepare you for the workplace.

Our Traineeships provide a minimum of 70 hour of experience, working 4/5 days per week for a minimum of 6 weeks to develop your confidence and skills

PATHWAYS MADE FOR YOU

Minimum 6 week Traineeship	✔️ For 16-18 year olds	✔️ Maths & English Grade 3/4 obtained	✔️ Need work experience prior to starting an apprenticeship	✔️ Work with one employer with the potential to gain an apprenticeship
Minimum 12 week Traineeship	✔️ For 16-18 year olds	✔️ Maths & English Grade 3/4 obtained	✔️ Work experience with multiple employers prior to starting an apprenticeship	✔️ Build up your construction skills with workshop sessions in our training centre.
Occupational Traineeships	Exclusive Traineeship programmes for 16-18 year olds with local employers, for example, Churchill China, where you can gain experience over 12 weeks within a number of different departments. At the end of the programme, opportunities exist to progress into apprenticeship positions with the employer.
