whg (Wallsall Housing Group) chose to partner with PM Training (now Achieve Training) to set up its own highly successful apprenticeship programme.
Elaine Woodman, Learning and Development Manager at whg, said: “Working with Achieve Training has been a really positive experience. We created a schedule of training as a development programme to run the apprenticeship pathway. Apprenticeships are great for anybody and provide a good learning experience. We chose Achieve Training because of the learner centric focus, support and progression.”
Solidor has been working with Achieve Training for more than five years, investing in apprenticeships and growing its business significantly through cost-effective staff development.
Over the past five years, Stoke-based Solidor Limited has recruited over 20 apprentices within a variety of roles including customer service, order processing, sales and marketing, and production.
BES (Business Enterprise Support) helps people to start their own business and return to employment through workshops and 1-2-1 coaching. Needing additional support, they took on apprentice Francesca Whetnall, and they haven’t looked back.
Gemma Hammond, Contracts Manager at BES, said: “She came to BES and the Silverdale Library as a volunteer doing 30 mins a week. As Francesca started to do regular volunteer work we decided we couldn’t lose her. At this point, we looked into an apprenticeship role with PM Training (now Achieve Training). We were pleased to be able to offer Francesca a Business Administration Level 2 apprenticeship.”
Business Enterprise Support hasn’t looked back. Gemma adds: “We’ve had nothing but success since taking on Francesca, she is a complete asset to our company.”
Anne Byatt, Contracts Manager at Falco, said: “PM Training (now Achieve Training) have been supportive of the candidates and helpful with their course work, supplying guidance and help when needed. As we work throughout the UK, assessors have taken the time to visit us on site in Coventry and Manchester to complete on site observations, ensuring at all stages the candidates are on track to ensure a successful outcome.”
