falco-logoInvestment in staff at Leek-based, Falco UK Ltd, has resulted in five staff gaining Gold CSCS cards and a market edge.

Falco, one of the UK’s leading designers, manufacturers and installers of cycle parking and street furniture products put a high demand on the quality of training within their sub-contractor network. Working with Stoke-based PM Training, their staff at sites in Manchester and Coventry have been upskilled in Operational Work Supervision leading to the successful achievement of Gold CSCS cards.

Anne Byatt, Contracts Manager at Falco, said: “I do not think I can emphasise too much how having highly trained staff gives Falco UK a market edge. Our sub-contractor staff needed to apply for the CSCS Gold card and PM Training provided the Operational Work Supervision training to a very high standard at a variety of site locations.”

The CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Gold card is an advanced certification for supervisors within the construction industry and requires the successful completion of a Level 3 or Level 4 NVQ qualification to become accredited.

“I do not think I can emphasise too much how having highly trained staff gives Falco UK a market edge".

Anne continues: “PM Training been supportive of the candidates and helpful with their course work, supplying guidance and help when needed. As we work throughout the UK, assessors have taken the time to visit us on site in Coventry and Manchester to complete on site observations, ensuring at all stages the candidates are on track to ensure a successful outcome.”

Nina Walker, Head of Skills Development at PM Training added: “Working with Falco has been a delight. Their passion for high quality training and development has meant our skilled teams have been able to work with their engineers to complete course work and assessments on time.”
