Fancy a career in construction but not sure where to start? We have just the job.
Over the course of the programme you’ll join us in centre either in Hanley or Newcastle-under-Lyme where you’ll try out a few different trades to see which one you like the best. These include: Brick work, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, and more!
Over the next 24 weeks you'll work towards a Level 1 Certificate in Employability and Development Skills, your Maths and English (if required), and gain essential multi-trade work experience either with our own team or a local employer.
When you're ready to progress, we'll support you to match with an employer and start your transition to an apprenticeship and all the perks of becoming an apprentice.
Our pre-apprenticeship course in construction is for anyone aged between 16-18. If you have aspirations of getting a job in a trade this is a perfect pre-apprenticeship course! Being able to do tasters in a variety of sectors will really help you to make a decision on what trade you want to be in. We'll talk through each job role and what you can expect working in that sector day-to-day.
You'll spend 4 days a week on our programme split between workshop sessions and gaining work experience (2 days), and working towards your qualification (2 days), Maths and English, and Personal Development - with a mixture of remote learning and in our training centres.
At the end of 28 weeks and upon successfully completing all of your learning aims - you'll receive a £250 voucher.
