The most outstanding individuals and institutions that the FE sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the 2020 Tes FE Awards.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the Training Provider of the Year award.
Since 1982, we’ve supported more than 25,000 individuals and more than 1,600 partner organisations and remain the largest provider of apprenticeships for young people in Staffordshire.
A core aspect of our training is an extensive personal, social and development programme for our learners. This has included enrichment trips to London and Liverpool for educational activities, mock employer interviews, employer site tours and mental health guidance. In 2019 we achieved ARC Mental Health Status – the only training provider in England to do so.
Will Nixon, Managing Director of PM Training, said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised as a finalist for Training Provider of the Year for the work we do with young people in Staffordshire.
“PM Training supports 2,500 people through training every year and, with the launch of our new ‘People First’ philosophy, we look forward to supporting more people through skills development, education and apprenticeships as we continue to work closely with young people and businesses in our communities.”
We work with over 1,600 employers, both locally and nationwide. This includes our long-running partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, which benefits communities by improving individual homes, neighbourhoods and estates through our Homeworks services. Homeworks sees 60 vans working every day giving real work experience to learners in a sheltered work environment.
Tes FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement"
The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 20 March 2020.
