We have all been there. Endless nights of energy drinks and sweets to keep us going. It's amazing how our diet can change how we function when those dreaded deadlines are approaching. But what actually are the best things to eat whilst revising?
Full of natural sugars, this is definitely a go-to for a quick sugar fix. Not a fan of fruit? Smoothies are a fab option for getting those sugars in an easy to digest form.
Salmon, Sardines and Mackerel are certainly up there for providing the brain with much-needed protein and Omega 3. Sardines on toast are actually a really nice combo, plus it's a super cheap meal option for revising students!
Not liking the idea of super healthy choices for revising? Not to worry, good old trusty peanut butter is here to save the day. Full of healthy fats and protein, peanut butter is a surprisingly good choice for a snack. So however you want to eat it, on toast, in porridge or even just with a large spoon, be reassured that it's going to help you achieve your best.
Full of B Vitamins, eggs are such a good source of protein and are really filling. Not only are they good for you, you can prepare eggs in a variety of ways to suit your taste. Poached, scrambled or even an omlette with your favourite filling, all in less than 10 minutes!
Yes, you heard it correctly. Dark chocolate is actually a good choice for revision food. It contains ingredients that help increase blood flow to your brain and even increase your mood. So when you pop down the local shop remember to pick up that bar of Bournville! (other leading brands are available)
Remember, this is our own take on the best food for revising - If you have any allergies, always remember them. You'll also have your own hidden gem's in the cupboard that you've used for years. Remember, work hard revising and you'll see the rewards.
