ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP
Masonite are a growing company, committed to investing in the Door-Stop International site to develop the business plan for the next 5 years.
To ensure that we meet our operational and customer needs we are looking for enthusiastic Apprentice Manufacturing Operators to join our team.
The purpose of the role is to safely produce high quality doors to the agreed specification, whilst studying at the same time for a level 2 Apprenticeship.
- Strictly adhere to safe systems of work and report any defects.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Perform quality checks in accordance with ISO instructions.
- Optimise production of doors through working as part of a line team, delivering good quality doors to output targets.
- Be aware of and follow the appropriate operating procedures for the activities in which you are engaged.
- Provide information for your supervisor regarding progress of products under your control.
- Ensure that your area of operation is kept clean, tidy, and safe and continuously strive for improving standards of performance
Be an active contributor to the department and operations objectives
Qualifications Required:
GCSE Grades A - D (3 or above) in English and Maths
Working Week:
£6.00 per hour
40 hours per week
Times: 6am-2pm or 2pm – 10pm
Monday - Friday

USING MATHS AND ENGLISH
English and Maths may be used for (but not limited to), measuring materials, stock checking, requesting materials, applying and interpreting design specifications and instructions plus creating/updating daily figures and reporting.
FUTURE PROSPECTS
On completion of their initial apprenticeship, apprentices will have the opportunity to remain with the business on a permanent contract, progress onto higher-level qualifications and potentially (based on levels of performance) progress onto our internal leadership development programme.
