ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP
The Apprentice will assist the Finance Manager with varying tasks connected to sales ledger and purchase ledger, banking, payroll and financial reporting. They will gain valuable experience learning on the job and as they progress and develop, they will inherit more varied and complex responsibilities to complement their studies.
The Apprentice will complete an Apprenticeship Standard in Finance AAT Level 2 to ensure they attain the relevant skills, knowledge, and behaviours required.
The Apprentice’s Day to day tasks will initially include the following:
- Data entry into company accounting system (Sage 50)
- Spreadsheets
- Opening accounts
- Matching orders to invoices
- Analysing and inputting receipts
- Processing, coding, inputting and paying supplier invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Nominal ledger reconciliations
- Ad-hoc reporting
- Archiving filing (general)
- Assisting in month end reporting
- Assisting in the year end audit process
English and Maths at Level 4 are essential for this role
Working Week: 30 hours per week - Monday to Thursday
Requirements : Some basic finance knowledge or experience.
