Learners at PM Training recently had the chance to meet apprentices from a variety of different sectors from business, customer service, HR, painting and decorating, grounds maintenance and more.
Each learner had a few minutes to ask questions to each apprentice, talking about their career journey and ask for advice and tips for their own journeys.
The carousel is part of several initiatives run by PM Training to support personal and social development. Helping learners get ready for an apprenticeship is a core part of the programme. The aim of the sessions are to allow learners to develop their confidence when speaking to others and help them feel comfortable and open up about a range of questions they may want to ask.
Aspire Housing Apprentice, Leah Mountford stated: "I've really enjoyed speaking to the learners. I've met loads of new people today and it's good to see what other job roles people want to get into and what other qualifications apprentices are working towards".
Aspire Housing apprentice, Alex Michalski stated: "I hope I can help new learners with my apprenticeship experience. We do lots of different things day to day that learners may not be aware of initially".
Leaner Ben Harbron stated: "This was really helpful for me. I want to be a plumber so it was good to get answers to my questions from apprentices in that role."
Learner Alisha Byrne stated: "Today has helped me learn about the process of an apprenticeship, I didn't know much about how to progress so it's really helped!
