Have you spotted the Regeneration Tree of Blurton? This piece is a focal point of the Blurton community.
This 8ft steel structure stands at the heart of a community hub in Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The metalwork sculpture is surrounded by ceramic tiles designed by local school children and represents key themes from the area including housing, regeneration, pottery, mining, and horticulture.
Teenagers, Nicolas Mason and Courtney Orpe from Sir Stanley Matthews Academy designed the tree whilst apprentice Jonah Davies who actually lives in Blurton, had a hand in using his skills to help produce the tree.
This sculpture represents the growth of the area and was created using materials such as steel from local industries.
Jonah Davies, Artworks apprentice.
