Portmeirion Pottery have been in Stoke-on-Trent for nearly 60 years. Making some of the finest pottery in the UK.
These lean manufacturing positions won't be around for long from £4.50 per hour plus incentives.

Having recently invested heavily in their factory with new automated machinery as part of their business growth plan, they are now looking for the next generation of Ceramic stars to join their firm!

You will see and experience first-hand how their products, ideas and inspirations come to life as you play a key part in creating ware for their portfolio of incredible, heritage brands. With roles such as Mould Makers, Crankers, Lithographers, Makers and Multi Printers on offer, you would play a key role in the Portmeirion team and processes.

The Portmeirion team, including your line manager and their Learning and Development Manager, will work with you to create a unique development plan to ensure you have the ability to grow and achieve your potential.


  • £150 after 12 weeks no absence
  • £250 after 6 months no absence
  • £600 on 12 months
  • Refer a friend scheme which is worth £500


Qualifications Required:

GCSE Grades A - C (4 or above) in English and Maths

On completion of their initial apprenticeship, apprentices may have the opportunity to remain with the business on a permanent contract.


Whilst the manufacture of pottery products bearing the name “Portmeirion” began in 1960, their six global tableware and home fragrance brands – Portmeirion, Spode, Wax Lyrical, Royal Worcester, Pimpernel and Nambé - have a combined history of over 750 years in Stoke-on-Trent. The Portmeirion Group are still creating wonderful local pottery to this day!
