APPRENTICESHIP SUMMARY

A great opportunity to learn all aspects of working in an IT Operations environment, delivering customer excellence and ensuring a people first approach.
 
We are looking for a candidate who can deliver excellent customer service and support, enjoys problem solving, is a good communicator via telephone, email and in person. The candidate needs to understand the importance of a right first-time approach and possesses the right qualities and knowledge to ensure a friendly and professional service to all customers and colleagues.
 
Main duties and responsibilities
 
  • Configure and troubleshoot devices, eg Laptops, Mobile Phones, following processes and keeping asset records up to date.

  • Diagnose issues with devices and log support calls with suppliers as necessary.

  • Perform first line investigation of alerts from our security monitoring systems escalating issues to appropriate colleagues.

  • Assist in the production of statistics and reports.

  • Maintain Cyber Security in all aspects of work.

  • Contribute to the 1st Line Service Desk support function.

  • Assist in the roll out of new software and/or updates.

  • Maintain a safe, tidy working environment.

  • Maintain a professional working attitude.

 

Qualifications Required:

GCSE Maths and English A*- C/Grades 4-9 are required for this role

Future prospects

A full time, permanent position is available to the successful applicant after completion of your apprenticeship. This of course is subject to your performance.
