ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP

The first 4 weeks of this position will pay £5.40 per hour and progress to £6.00 per hour. 

Job Purpose: To meet production requirements on a printing machine and to adhere to specific standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To produce printed products using specific machinery e.g Dekram printing machine.
  • To be self sufficient using a printing machine.
  • To record production counts and losses.
  • To ensure that all product is produced to correct specification and standard.
  • To show flexibility and adaptability to meet production demands.
  • To be responsible for the cleanliness of their work stations.
  • To ensure all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.

Shift contract - to work 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (alternatively) is required.


Qualifications Required:

GCSE Grades A - C (4 or above) in English and Maths

REQUIREMENTS 

Skills Required:

  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work in a group and on their own
  • Strong organisational skills

Personal Qualities:

  • Confidence in decision making
  • Positive attitude

 

FUTURE PROSPECTS

On completion of their initial apprenticeship, apprentices may have the opportunity to remain with the business on a permanent contract. This will be discussed with your employer.
