Level 2 Bricklaying


During the apprenticeship you will have to opportunity to develop and learn new skills using measurement to mark and cut bricks and blocks to given measurements. You will learn how to interpret information from site drawings and specifications which will include developing understanding of trade terminology.

You will be provided with an on- site training log book which will be used to record the work you carry out each week, similar to- a diary.

Persimmon Homes are currently looking for an apprentice to take part in a level 2 apprenticeship in bricklaying and to progress within the company once completed working on one of our busy construction sites at The Hamptons, Keele Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 2GQ, as well as attending college.

Apprentices will work alongside qualified and experienced Bricklayers learning the trade and assisting in all aspects of Bricklaying, including brickwork, blockwork and all other duties as and when required. Successful candidates will work safely and responsibly at all times, with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work and training


Hours of work:

Monday-Thursday 8:00-16:30

Friday 8:00- 15:30

Qualifications Required:

GCSE Maths and English Grades 4 or above.


Candidates should expect to progress into full time employment once qualified and there will be opportunity for further progression within the organisation, should that be of interest.
