Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2


Peak have an exciting opening within their finance department for an Apprentice Accounts Assistant. They are looking for an aspiring accountant with strong numeracy and organisational skills to join their team of professionals.
The successful candidate will be supported and mentored by a welcoming and dedicated team who will be on hand every step of the way.

In return, you will be provided with invaluable experience across a multi-industry and multi-site company, supported with achieving their AAT qualification and will develop the skills and expertise needed to kickstart a successful career in accounting.
• Support the Finance Team with their day-to-day activities
• Process of sales and purchase invoices
• Record receipts and payments
• Prepare weekly payments runs
• Record and reconcile cash and card transactions on the ledger
• Respond to phone call and email queries
• Keep the office environment tidy and organised
• Perform any other duties which may be required within the department

Hours of work:

Usual office hours are between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday however all working hours should be deemed as flexible.


Skills and Attitude:

  •  4 GCSEs at minimum of grade 5 (including Maths and English)
  • Willingness to undertake AAT qualification
  • Numeracy skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate – good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Team player

Qualifications Required:

GCSE Maths and English Grades Level 3 or above.


Potential full-time employment after your apprenticeship, subject to employers conditions.
